The "I Can't Draw a Straight Line Either" Workshop

How many times have you uttered those words?  For all those who have an ache to start painting, or have been frustrated with watercolour, this workshop is for you.  Suitable for both Beginner and Intermediate levels, this weekend getaway will have you glad that you took the chance.

Even after ten years of teaching, and forty years experience, Susan still appreciates what it feels like to be intimidated by a brush and a piece of white paper.  With a ready smile and ‘the glass is always full’ attitude, she will instill confidence while guiding you through the steps of choosing the best paints and materials, preparing the paper, transferring images, and last but not least, putting paint on paper!

 The studio is a roomy, well-lit space, with windows on three sides, and a fireplace if it gets chilly!

Class Size

Classes are limited to six students, to ensure sufficient attention to each person.

 Materials & Fees

 All necessary materials will be included in your weekend fee of $225+ tax

 Included are:

 · Palette, filled with 11 artist quality paints

 · Three synthetic brushes, various sizes

(if you have any favourites, feel free to bring them along)

· Prepared board for stretching watercolour paper

 · Three sheets of paper

 If you have a few favourite photos to work from, please bring them along.

A good supply of others of various subjects ranging from people, to poppies, to ponds, will also be available.

Otherwise, just enthusiasm and a smile are required! As noted above, class sizes are extremely limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Please Note: Dogs and cats are present on the property; very friendly, but might bother those with allergies!
